A dreamers guide to chasing the impossible

Often in life we set ourselves with limits, and boundaries subconsciously. “I can’t travel this year I’ll go next.” or “I can’t get this job.” When in reality the goals we desire are attainible in every aspect but our minds. It is the “I can’t” mentality that limits us.

Normally, we are afraid of what it will cost, and I’m not talking monetary value, I am talking about consequence. We are so sure that we know what is going to happen, that we will resist trying something new to avoid the reality that we have made. But, at the end of life most people come to regret the things they did not do rather then the things they did. They regret not doing what they had deemed impossible.

Chasing the “impossible” is not easy, and people who do it are often labeled as “dreamers”, because to the world what those people chase is unattainable. Not because it is truly unattainable, but because it is not normal. And people fear what they don’t know. Bill Gates started out as a poor man chasing something everyone else said was impossible. Now he is one of the richest men in the world, because he worked for what he wanted despite what everyone else said. He didn’t not let other people limit the greatness that he knew his life could hold.

What is the impossible? It is something different to every person, but most simply. The impossible is something you set in your mind as unreachable, or unrealistic.

I am here to tell you chasing your dreams will never be easy. There is no cheat sheet or easy way to go about it, but when you reach the “impossible”. Oh how it will be worth it. So stop carrying the “I can’t” mentality and start shooting for the stars, because you only get one chance at life. Make the most of it.
